Violinist and composer, a specialist in Irish music and the founder of a great number of groups in the neo-trad movement, Daniel Gourdon is the author of numerous dance music tunes for a Bal folk repertoire. This collection is complete. Bourrées, couple dances, contra dances, the Breton repertoire, Irish or Swedish influences… the range is wide and accessible at all levels. Categorised by style, these pieces were written originally for the violin; but are user-friendly for everyone, to be adapted to their instrument, their style of playing and to create harmonies with… and in this way develop the awareness of the vast corpus of this great inventor of melodies.
