The powerful and captivating sound of La Machine produces a warm and personal music which assumes entirely its traditional aspect. This fusion is modern and federating.
The couple hurdy-gurdy (G. Jolivet) and bagpipe (J. Barbances) insure the authenticity of the style, and the inventive balance created between these two instruments allows to explore other musical universes. Doublebass (J-L Cayzac) and percussions (M. Riou) offer a swaying rhythmic laying where you’ll feel groovy afro-cuban tones. And when Julien pitches his raw and tensed voice, appropriating traditional songs of Centre France, the result is a fusion that classify La machine at the centre of the actual music.
In two words, the approach of the four members of La Machine is to personalize and appropriate the traditional music of Centre France having regard for its particularities. They mary their different influences to propose colored music for dance .
