Patrick Reboud - Mélusine

New product

For its 20th anniversary, the non-professional Que Lou Di Lam chorus (« those above » in local dialect) commissioned Patrick Reboud to create a work for a 4 voice mixed choir and an orchestra on the theme of the myth of Melusine. « Melusine, la neuvième vague » draws on diverse musical inspirations (classical, traditional and contemporary) and original texts from Laurent Berger. This cantata offers a story of this founding myth, which speaks about magic, secret, broken promise and fatality... A five-musician orchestra (double bass, clarinets, violin, accordion, accordina, bandoneon, dulcitone, flutes, bagpipe and percussion) accompanies 35 singers directed by the choirmaster Alain Desbrières. The CD was registered by Pascal Cacouault at the Autrans church in may 2009.
